Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Analyst to help us manage and optimize company costs and profitability. The Cost Analyst will play a key role in analyzing financial data related to production, operations, and business processes to determine the most cost-efficient solutions. This position requires a strong background in financial analysis, cost accounting, and an ability to work closely with other departments to streamline cost control strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze production costs, operational expenses, and labor costs to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports on cost analysis, including cost variance and profit margin analysis.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing insights into cost drivers and potential savings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the cost-effectiveness of current processes, recommending changes to improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with the finance, operations, and procurement teams to develop cost-saving initiatives.
  • Review pricing structures and recommend adjustments to ensure profitability.
  • Assist in the development of cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Provide financial insights and data to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cost Analyst, Cost Accountant, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in other financial analysis tools and ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively across various departments.
  • Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.
