Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for our products and services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable content for a variety of audiences, including developers, end-users, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Create Technical Documentation: Develop user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, FAQs, and other technical documents for various audiences.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Work closely with developers, product managers, and engineers to gather information and clarify complex concepts.
- Document Updates: Regularly review and update existing documentation to reflect new product features, system changes, or process updates.
- Content Simplification: Simplify complex technical concepts and jargon for non-technical audiences without losing technical accuracy.
- Maintain Document Consistency: Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards, is well-organized, and follows a consistent structure and style.
- Version Control: Manage documentation revisions and maintain version control, ensuring that the latest updates are always available.
- Assist in Product Launches: Support product releases by preparing and delivering release notes, technical bulletins, and other relevant content.
- Content Delivery: Publish content across multiple platforms, including websites, internal knowledge bases, and print materials as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role, preferably in a tech-driven environment.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an emphasis on technical clarity.
- Ability to understand and convey complex technical information in a simple and clear manner.
- Familiarity with technical documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or Microsoft Word.
- Basic understanding of software development, IT systems, or technical products is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
