Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Learning and Development Manager to join our team in Colombo. Responsibilities:

  • Learning Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement, and recommend appropriate training solutions.
  • Leadership Development: Create and implement leadership development programs to nurture and enhance the capabilities of current and future leaders within the organization.
  • Performance Management: Collaborate with HR and department heads to integrate learning and development initiatives with performance management systems.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, using a variety of methods such as workshops, e-learning modules, and on-the-job training.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Manage the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality training standards.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external training providers and consultants to deliver specialized training programs when needed.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives that promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on training activities, outcomes, and return on investment to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Learning and Development Manager or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform decision-making and program design.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
