Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The Legal Counsel will provide expert legal advice to the organization, ensuring that our operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including industry-specific regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the protection of the company’s assets and reputation.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve legal disputes, including liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Corporate Governance: Support the board of directors and senior management in corporate governance matters, including the preparation of board resolutions and meeting minutes.
  • Intellectual Property: Protect and manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  • Employment Law: Advise on employment law matters, including employee contracts, terminations, and workplace policies.
  • Compliance Training: Develop and conduct legal and compliance training for employees to ensure awareness and adherence to legal standards.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research to stay informed of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents, and apply this knowledge to the company’s operations.

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in a corporate environment, with a strong understanding of corporate law and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, and employment law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical legal solutions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive legal matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
